7-Elven

With the launch of Deadpool 2, 7-Eleven and Zappar teamed-up to give 7-Eleven customers a chance to see their favourite anti-hero in full augmented reality glory and also a chance to earn 7Rewards points for their shopping!

By accessing the Zappar-powered AR feature in the 7Rewards app, customers could visit their local 7-Eleven store and scan specially-marked codes to earn 7Rewards points and unlock exclusive Deadpool AR games and face filters each week!

With this summer campaign lasting 8 weeks, users were spoilt with a variety of twelve different experiences! From playing games like "Whack-a-Unicorn" and "Mutant Attack" to taking uncomfortable unicorn selfies with Deadpool himself, each week brought something new and exciting to try.

With almost 1 million unique users entering the AR experience, the campaign proved to be a huge success in terms of numbers and engagement!

As a dedicated UX Designer I had the challenge to manage this project with full ownership sharing a stream of feedback with 7-Eleven Team and also fill the role of Game Designer.

Justice League

Warner Bros – Walmart

Partnering with Warner Bros and Walmart we developed three Augmented Reality experiences for the release of the new Justice League movie.

Featuring The Flash, Batman and Aquaman as the centrepiece of their respective posters, the flagship experience was a life-sized explosive reveal of Justice League characters. Parallax depth-building in the background, and masking around the edges of the poster, was employed to create the illusion of the character crossing the boundaries of the DC universe, into the real world.

PEZ Play

PEZ initially approached Zappar with the task of helping increase candy sales and further drive consumer engagement. The response to the brief came in the form of PEZ Play, an app which allowed consumers to scan PEZ candy codes on inlays and products restore the colour back to PEZ World.

With each scan, users are awarded with a magic key that allows access to a new level on the world. Each level offers a different activity, from reaction-based games to fun photo opportunities.

Originally launching with seven games and activities, PEZ Play has grown to house more than twenty activities (and two planets) for users to unlock and enjoy.
